Countertop For Forma Wood Cabinet White 1200

A countertop is a slab laid on a bathroom cabinet, with a countertop basin standing on it. Forma Wood White 1200 is 1200 mm long and 465 mm deep, cast from resin and finished in white – it matches the Forma Wood 1200 Cabinet from the same range.

A resin countertop differs from a laminated board in that it is homogeneous throughout and has no edge covered with edge banding. That banding is the weakest point of laminated countertops in a bathroom – after a few years it peels away where water runs down regularly. Resin has no such joint.

A metre-long surface gives you real storage space on both sides of the basin: soap, toothbrushes and everyday cosmetics do not have to go back into a drawer every time. That is the most common reason for choosing a countertop plus countertop basin instead of a Cabinet Basin.

The countertop needs a cut-out or a hole for the waste to suit the chosen countertop basin – in this range that is the Forma Matt White countertop basin. The tap is fitted either in the countertop or on the wall, depending on the model.

Frequently asked questions

Does the countertop come with a ready-made hole for the basin?

The countertop is designed for a countertop basin that stands on its surface – all you need is a hole for the waste, matched to the chosen basin model.

How is a resin countertop better than a laminated one?

It has no glued-on edge banding, which comes away over time in a damp bathroom, and its material structure is uniform. Fine scratches in resin can be polished out, whereas damage to the top layer of laminate is permanent.

Will the countertop withstand hot water?

Yes, contact with hot water does it no harm. However, you should not place heated appliances on it, such as curling tongs or straighteners straight after use.

How do I care for the white surface?

Wipe it with a soft cloth and a mild detergent. Staining cosmetics – hair dyes, liquids with strong pigments – are best wiped off immediately, before they dry.
